The Generation That Loves Their Silk Press Candy Curled Recorded Through Script

There is a generation that truly enjoys their silk press candy curls.
Here at Main Character Hair, the versatility of each stylist allows us to meet that desire with care.

For some clients, a soft wisp of curl will not do. They prefer abundance. On this day we marveled at the many curls we were able to create — all formed with a flatiron.

Silk press with abundant candy curls created during a service session in the Main Character Hair studio in Miami Lakes, Florida.

S — Setting

Where the service took place. The room, the light, the time of day, the pace of the environment. Setting grounds the record in real life.

Miami Lakes, Florida — On a wonderful spring afternoon inside the Main Character Hair studio, the pace of the environment was gently warm, calm, and plentiful, holding all the tools needed to implement the client’s desire in a thoughtful and cared-for way.

C — Condition

What was true about the hair before anything was done. Texture, dryness, fragility, tension, or resilience held in the strands. Condition is observed, not judged.

The styling from the previous service was still very much intact. The hair had bounce and continued to present beautifully, especially considering the client consistently follows the evening preservation methods we recommend.

Seven days past her wash day, she was ready for another service.

This client is under care for prescription-treated psoriasis and recently agreed to become one of our weekly clients. Because of this, she is an ideal candidate for consistent weekly washing, and we were pleased to serve her accordingly.

R — Rhythm

How the work moved. Whether the session required slowness, pauses, adjustments, or steady progression. Rhythm reflects the pace the work demanded.

The rhythm of our time together was smooth.

The order of the service was implemented peacefully, and the client enjoyed her time beneath the hooded dryer. When it was time for styling, the hair responded beautifully.

I — Intention

What was held internally while the work was being done. Protection, longevity, ease, or preparation. Intention is not what is spoken aloud, but what remains present.

The intention remained simple — to tend to the client’s needs while appreciating the trust built through weekly care.

Weekly clients are greatly appreciated here. Their commitment to caring for the scalp and strands reflects growth within their haircare journey, and that dedication is always reciprocated.

P — Posture

The stance held during the work. What the hands chose, what they avoided, and the standards that remained present throughout the session.

One key decision during this service supported the client immensely.

The hands chose a double moisture cleanse, producing a deep lather while gently massaging the scalp to lift deposits that had accumulated during the week.

This created a clarified and balanced foundation before styling began.

T — Transfer

What shifted by the end of the work. Relief, comfort, clarity, trust, or readiness. Transfer names what moved from one state to another.

By the end of our time together, the scalp was relieved, the curls were abundant, and the client left ready for the week ahead — already scheduled for the next service.
